Family Day 2012 - Cameron Highlands

Dear blog,
Lately, I've been having a wonderful family day at Cameron Highlands. It was truly amazing, we had games and fun. Our family day has been set for three days, two nights, from the 14th to the 16th of December. Abang Ya, our cousin, which is also the chairman of this family day, booked two apartments at Parkland Apartments. It was honestly too beautiful for the price. The apartment was also settled on a hill overlooking the town of Brinchang. The freaky fact here was that the apartment had WiFi! And, guess what, we had family day shirts to wear during the occasion! Waaargh, what a complete set!
We only went to the market on the first day and arranged games at night. On the second day, the elders and the children went to eat scones and drink tea nearby a tea plantation, whereby the teens spent half the day hiking up Gunung Berembun. I got into the teens group. It was supposedly a 3-hour hike up and a 1-and-a-half-hour hike down, but we reached the peak in 2-and-a-half hours. Normally, the group would split into two. One would be the faster group, one would be the slower group. During the hike up, I was normally in the faster group but I had times when I was in the slower group. During the hike down, I was always in the faster group, which reached down half and hour earlier than the slower group.
That night, we arranged games too, but sadly, I fell asleep and missed all of it. Along with the games, there was also a lucky draw. Every family has to buy a present about RM 50. My family of three (yes, I'm the only child) bought a toaster. What we got was a mattress from Mak Ngah.
The next day, we packed up to go home. Some elders went to buy flowers. I asked my mum to buy white roses, pink roses and a few smaller flowers for me. Along the way home, we stopped to eat lunch, to pray at a mosque, to eat goreng pisang (a snack that is actually fried bananas which is popular at Malaysia) at a stall. And then we separated and thus, our family day was finished. *makes a sad face*

Anyway, below are some pictures and captions about it for you to observe. :)

This was when we reached the peak of the mountain. We ate some snacks
to celebrate our victory and to also fill our hungry stomachs before we
head back down.

This was a stop along the way, we've gotta have picture time!

Before we left for Gunung Berembun, we had a little family photograph session
with our beautiful family day shirts.

My cousin, Herah, had her sports shoe destroyed and torn. We had to replace
with a plastic for the moment. But after that, we changed the idea and decided
to tie it up with strings.

This is also another picture time along the way.

As you can see here, these are the backs of our beloved shirt.

This is me in jacks, I wore it after dipping some parts of my body into
the ice-cold river because I was so cold. Brrrr!

We needed to have a picture of us after we achieved our
mission.

We took a picture after having lunch before going back home. As
you can see, this picture was taken a split-second before I shoved
Marit's (my cousin) head out of my face. Too sad, or I would've been
seen clearly in the picture.

Another picture time while going up the mountain.

We young girls seem to be cheerful. :3

A picture of victory!

O.o I can see that the tree behind us is about to fall . . . but anyways,
good picture,

Another photo of victory!
