Hey guys! Long time no see. Sorry, I've got stuck in a business.
Anyway I bought a pet sugar glider! It's a type of squirrel(they are related to kangaroos and possums actually, because the have pouches). It's a female and she's called Jake or Jacob(her real name is Almond). She's already full bonded with me, and she isn't scared with me anymore.
I had a female one named Apple last time, but she died by drowning in the toilet bowl. So a bought a new one. I give them unprocessed chestnut, apple, a little bit of orange juice and eggs for protein(sugar gliders need 50% of protein). But I suggest you don't follow my way. It might be wrong, the diet. Sugar gliders enough room to jump and glide. Mine is a baby though, one to two months old. She doesn't glide yet. But she do jump. She loves exploring my room!
As well for bathing, I bathe her once a month so her fur won't dry off. Use shampoo, not soap. But it's better you don't bathe them. If you really need to bathe them use a wet towel or something to wipe the dirty part. Don't use shampoo. Then put them in a nice, warm blanket because they will feel cold(mind though, some sugar gliders do try to get out of blanket, because they are scared. Mine was like that. Though I made the blanket difficult to get out.
They really do love to have attention, so if you have only one sugar glider, play with it for four hours. If you have two sugar gliders, play with them for two hours. It is not necessary to get two sugar gliders. Only you have to spend more time.
As for the cage, try to buy a big cage(at night because they are nocternel. The bigger, the better. Less floor space, more wall space. They love climbing than walking. It must be more than the height of the bird cage.
